Chestnut Ridge Farmstay B&B

A quiet piece of rural New Zealand, Chestnut Ridge Farmstay B&B has large gardens and, being on a ridge, has extensive views over the gardens, orchard, farmland, Whangamarino Wetlands, Lake Waikare, surrounding hills and Te Kauwhata village.
Our small 6 ha farm/orchard has around 400 mature chestnut trees and we run ewes and lambs, a few cows & calves and chickens. Guests are welcome to wander around.
The accommodation is flexible:
The Super-King room can either have a massive super-king bed or two king-single beds. This room has an en suite including a spa bath with shower over. TV, radio and tea/coffee making facilities are also included.
The Queen room has a queen bed. It is next to the bathroom/toilet which is shared with the hosts at present (guests take priority). The room has TV, radio and a small desk and library of interesting books.
Both rooms have a single trundle bed and exterior doors so that you can come and go as you please. Garage parking is available.
Continental breakfast is included in the tariff and can be upgraded to a full cooked breakfast for a small extra cost.
A three course dinner (nibbles and a drink before, entr?e, main course with a glass of wine, dessert and tea/coffee) is available for an extra charge if notified in advance.
Children are welcome but not suitable for pets.
Close by are Te Kauwhata village, Rangiriri historic site, Whangamarino Wetlands, Lake Waikare, Cooks Landing, Waikare golf course, Hampton Downs Motorsport Park and Showfields and Richfields Equestrian Centres. Miranda Bird Sanctuaryand Hot Pools are only 40 minutes drive east, as are Nikau Caves to the west.
Our home is a smoke-free environment but there are covered, sheltered outdoor areas for those who wish to smoke.
