Hapuku Carriages

An 80 year old railway carriage recovered from a farm at Waiua where it was used as
shearers' quarters, "Kereru", named after the native wood pigeons that frequent the area,
has been carefully restored and luxuriously fitted out for your comfort.
Situated in a rural setting with mountain views just north of Kaikoura,
you can enjoy the romance of the rail era complete with the sound of the odd passing train.
The beach is only a 2 minute walk through the sand dunes away.
