Our New Zealand Independent coach tours can be adapted or extended according to your requirements. So if you want to stay longer at any place on the itinerary, let us know, ALL itineraries can be amended.

If you do not find a Tour that suits you, just ask us to provide you with a personalised coach touring holiday.

Christchurch - TranzAlpine - Glaciers - Queenstown - Milford Sound - Dunedin - Christchurch

Begin your Tour South Island New Zealand journey traversing the island by rail and continue on to see for yourself the contrasting scenery of the East and West Coasts. You travel independently using scheduled coach, rail and ferry services.

Day 1: Christchurch - Glaciers

Aboard the renowned TranzAlpine train cross the Canterbury Plains to the mountains, where Arthur's Pass  leads to the West Coast. From Greymouth, continue by coach along the coastal plain. Stay 2 nights in Fox Glacier or Franz Josef Glacier.

Day 2: At  the Glaciers

A  whole day is available for optional excursions on the Glacier.

Day 3: Glaciers - Queenstown

Continue south into dense rain forest broken by rugged coastal vistas. Reach Lake Wanaka in the early afternoon. Continue through the rugged Kawarau Gorge to Queenstown. Stay 2 nights in Queenstown.

Day 4: At Queenstown

Today is free for you to enjoy this fabulous alpine resort. This evening enjoy the Kiwi Haka Cultural show.

Day 5: Queenstown - Milford Sound - Te Anau

A full day to Fiordland National Park taking in the wonders of Milford and Mitre Peak, aboard a cruise on Milford Sound including picnic lunch,  returning to Te Anau by evening. Stay 1 night in Te Anau.

Day 6: Te Anau - Dunedin

This morning cross  the rolling hill country of Southland and South Otago to Dunedin "the Edinburgh of the South". Stay 1 night in Dunedin.

Day 7: Dunedin - Christchurch

Travel north through historic Oamaru, and seaside Timaru, then across the Canterbury Plains to Christchurch, arriving early evening. Please note, no commentary is provided on this journey.

Our hotels are centrally located and have a selection of restaurants and bars and other facilities expected in first class rooms.
Silver
These properties include a variety of international chain hotels and traditional New Zealand hotels or Motor Inns.  As with all our accommodations, they are centrally located and provide on site restaurants and bars and other facilities are maintained to high standard.
Bronze
You stay at centrally located hotels and motels. All properties are situated near amenities, shops, activities and coach stations/depots.

All Bronze, Silver, Gold accommodation includes
TV, fridge & telephone in room, ironing facilities and breakfast available. Deluxe/Superior also includes room service and a licenced restaurant.
