Wellington - Napier - Rotorua - Waitomo - Auckland
A quick New Zealand North Island Tour featuring The Desert Road and Lake Taupo, including tours of Rotorua and Waitomo Caves...
Day 1: Wellington - Rotorua
From Wellington travel north along the Kapiti Coast and then ascend the central plateau to Tongariro National Park, where the peaks of Mt Ruapehu, Tongariro and Ngauruhoe stand watch over Lake Taupo. Pass the steam fields of Wairakei and exotic forests to arrive in fiery Rotorua. We recommend you attend a fascinating Maori hangi and concert tonight (optional). Stay two nights in Rotorua
Day 2: At Rotorua
A half day sightseeing tour is included, you will see roaring geysers, boiling mud pools at the thermal area, tame trout at the springs and performing sheep and dogs at the Agrodome. This afternoon is free and there are many activities to attract you.
Day 3: Rotorua - Waitomo - Auckland
After leaving fiery Rotorua, you travel to Waitomo Caves for a tour of the limestone caves. Board an underground punt to cruise in awe below a galaxy of glow-worms. Continue via Hamilton and the Waikato River to Auckland.

Silver
These properties include a variety of international chain hotels and traditional New Zealand hotels or Motor Inns. As with all our accommodations, they are centrally located and provide on site restaurants and bars and other facilities are maintained to high standard.
Bronze
You stay at centrally located hotels and motels. All properties are situated near amenities, shops, activities and coach stations/depots.
All accommodation includes
TV in room, telephone in room, ironing facilities, fridge in unit and breakfast available. Deluxe/Superior also includes room service and a licenced restaurant.
