Day 1. Queenstown

Day 3. Queenstown, Milford Sound, Te Anau
Travel through Fiordland National Park to Milford Sound. Cruise the full length of this beautiful fiord, traveling below mile-high Mitre Peak. View cascading waterfalls, sheer cliffs, dense rain forest and towering mountains, then drive to Te Anau. Stay: Distinction Te Anau Hotel and Villas (B, D)
Day 4. Dunedin, Freedom of Choice Touring

Day 5. Dunedin, Mt Cook, Freedom of Choice Touring, Dine Around Dinner
Travel along the coast to see the Moeraki Boulders, then it's on to Mt Cook National Park. Join your selected Freedom of Choice Touring activity from options such as a guided walk through the National Park, a discovery of the Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre, or stargazing with expert astronomy guides. On the journey to Christchurch, perhaps take the scenic TranzAlpine train from Arthurs Pass. Alternatively continue on the coach through the Rakaia Gorge to Christchurch. Day 7. Christchurch, Wellington
Journey to Picton and on arrival board the Interislander ferry and cruise across Cook Strait, through picturesque Marlborough Sounds to sparkling Wellington Harbour. Stay: Wellington, InterContinental Hotel (B, D)
Day 8. Wellington, Taupo
Leaving Wellington, cross the Rimutaka Ranges and head for the coastal township of Napier. Explore this lovely Art Deco city before arriving in Taupo.

Day 9. Taupo, Auckland
Near Taupo stop and visit Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland. Enjoy a guided tour through the orchard at Kiwifruit Country then cross the Hauraki Plains and continue to Auckland, where your tour concludes upon arrival and an included departure transfer to the airport awaits. (B)
