Day 1. Wellington, Nelson, Dine Around Dinner

Depart Wellington and cruise Cook Strait into the Marlborough Sounds before arriving in Picton. Journey by coach past the orchards and vineyards of Marlborough to Nelson. Tonight, for dinner choose from two restaurants.

Day 2. Nelson, Franz Josef, West Coast Specialties Dinner

Journey down dramatic West Coast & World Heritage-listed Te Wahipounamu - South West New Zealand. View Franz Josef Glacier, & perhaps enjoy a scenic flight (own expense, weather permitting). Tonight dine on West Coast regional specialties.

Day 3. Franz Josef, Wanaka

View incredible scenery today as you traverse Haast Pass and the Southern Alps. Travel the shores of lakes Wanaka and Hawea. Continue to Mt Aspiring National Park and Wanaka township. Enjoy a stay in this place of peace and tranquillity.

Day 4. Wanaka, Queenstown, Dine Around Dinner

This morning visit Arrowtown, an old gold rush village. Continue to Queenstown, on the shores of Lake Wakatipu. Tonight, choose from 14 restaurants. Perhaps cruise to Walter Peak High Country Farm for a carvery dinner.

Day 5. Queenstown, Freedom of Choice Touring

Today you have the opportunity to personalise your sightseeing. Perhaps visit some wineries, explore Skippers Canyon on a 4WD adventure or enjoy a massage at Sofitel Spa.  (B, D)

Day 6. Milford Sound, Te Anau

Travel through Fiordland National Park to Milford Sound. On arrival, cruise the length of this beautiful fiord, travelling below mile-high Mitre Peak. View cascading waterfalls, rainforest and towering mountains. This afternoon, drive through the Eglinton Valley to Te Anau

Day 7. Dunedin, Freedom of Choice Touring

Journey via beautiful Southland to Dunedin where you choose an activity. Perhaps visit Larnach Castle or the Otago Peninsula.

Day 8. Dunedin, Mt Cook, Freedom of Choice Touring, Dine Around Dinner

Travel north to see the unique Moeraki Boulders. Stop at Oamaru, a town renowned for its distinctive limestone architecture. Pass glacier-fed lakes of incredible colour on the journey to Mt Cook. On arrival, join your selected touring activity. This evening select from two restaurants at The Hermitage for dinner.

Day 9. Mt Cook, Christchurch, Dine Around Dinner

Visit the glacier-fed Lake Tekapo and view the tiny Church of the Good Shepherd. Then travel through Burkes Pass to the plains of Canterbury. On the way to Christchurch, you may choose to take the TranzAlpine train from Arthurs Pass or continue with the coach through the Rakaia Gorge. Tonight enjoy a Dine Around Dinner.

Day 10. Christchurch, Depart Wellington

Today view spectacular seascapes as you travel north to Kaikoura. At Picton, join your return cruise across Cook Strait to Wellington Harbour. Your tour concludes on arrival in Wellington. (B)
