Day 1. Christchurch
On arrival in the Garden City of Christchurch, be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours at leisure to explore. Perhaps go for a stroll along the Avon River or uncover some of the city's best shopping. Dinner is at leisure.

Board the TranzAlpine train for the journey to Greymouth. Join your coach and continue to Hokitika and see Pounamu (jade) being carved into jewellery. Tonight enjoy West Coast hospitality as you dine on sumptuous regional specialties.

Day 9. Mt Cook, Depart Christchurch

Accommodation was great! Edgewater @ Wanaka on the lake, fabulous position and not a hard walk into town. Crowne Plaza Christchurch was amongst all the shops, cafes etc amd great location. All hotels were central and easy to explore from - apart from the Hermitage of course. Everyone was obliging and assisted with any enquiries I had. - MB (Australia)
