||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Escape to Nelson Lakes National Park and discover the magnificent views and spectacular natural scenery with your own personal guide, with delicious gourmet food! You will be picked up from your accommodation, and learn about the culture, history and natural environment from your knowledgeable guide. Enjoy a gourmet lunch that will delight your senses including fresh plunger coffee and a selection of teas, and your own personal snack pack for the day. You can explore the Nelson lakes in style with these two great packages. OVER THE THREE DAYS WE WILL CHOOSE FROM THE BELOW OPTIONS: Option 1 - Mount Robert Ridgeline Experience Your guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Nelson and take you to the Nelson Lakes region. We drive to the Mt Robert car park - half way up the mountain, with great views, before your hike has even started! We then begin our ascent via Paddy's Track to Bushline Hut, where we stop for a delicious gourmet lunch. This afternoon take in the spectacular 360 degree views of the valleys and mountains that make up the majestic Southern Alps, that stretch far away to the south. A stunning day with wonderful photographic opportunities. On a good day, this walk is very difficult to beat. After a few hours you will be taken back to your accommodation. Option 2 - Lake Track, Lake Rotoiti Once again you will be picked up from your accommodation by your guide, and taken to St Arnaud, a small alpine village on Lake Rotoiti. Here you will board a water taxi (Boat) and travel to Cold-water Hut at the head of the lake. Once there a gentle stroll up the Travers Valley will give you an appreciation for the massive glaciers that carved out this piece of paradise 15,000 years ago. After a gourmet Lunch, your walk will take you along the shores of Lake Rotoiti and the edge of the Rotoiti Nature Recovery Project. A truly delightful day walk into a world of ancient beech trees and the chorus of bird life that surround you, as you absorb the magic of the Nelson Lakes National Park. |
