Do I need a car to visit the Akaroa alpaca farm?

Yes, self-drive is required as transport is not provided to Shamarra Alpacas. The farm is easily accessible by road from both Christchurch and Akaroa. Having your own vehicle gives you flexibility to explore the area.

We also have private and small group tour options if you prefer not to drive.
