Why should I check my bag and shoes before visiting Urupukapuka Island?

Soil, seeds and insects can travel unnoticed in footwear and bags and threaten the island’s restored habitats. Before boarding, clean dirt from your shoes and check your bag, including its pockets, for pests. If you would like another trip with time to explore Bay of Islands beaches and islands, see the Island Hopper Day Cruise.
