Coronet Peak Ski Area
Coronet Peak is the closest ski field to Queenstown and can be accessed by a sealed roads that lead all the way to the lifts for added convenience. The mountain terrain is wide and rolling. The main trails are well-groomed and replenished with regular snowmaking.
The skiable area totals 280 hectares and is accessed by 3 chairlifts, beginners tows and 1 T-bar. No matter your level of experience, Coronet Peak Ski Area offers fun and thrills for all. Beginners can make their way to a special area by the Meadows chairlift. This ski area is separated from the other main runs. For intermediate skiers, most of the mountain is yours to enjoy and you can gain access by the Rocky Gully T-bar and Coronet Express chair.
For more experienced riders, the Greengates chair allows access to some amazing terrain and you can also enjoy the Back Bowls. At Coronet Peak, you can make the most of a 420 meter vertical drop, weekend night-skiing and the M1 which is the longest run and measures 1.8 kilometres.
