Abel Tasman National Park Guided Walks
Abel Tasman National Park is located at the top of the South Island of New Zealand. The Abel Tasman Coast Track has been named as one of New Zealand's "Great Walks", and extends for 54 km from Marahau to Golden Bay. The route passes many sandy beaches, crosses frequent streams using small bridges, and winds over headlands through luxurious bush, with a great variety of birds, seals and dolphins to see.
The Abel Tasman Coastal Track normally takes 3 days to complete, however a very popular option is to stay an extra night at each of the lodges, to make a 5 day trip. With the extra 2 nights, you can then spend a little more time to explore the park, go kayaking, snorkeling, or hiking. The Abel Tasman National Park Guided Walks includes a scenic cruise, and transfer of your luggage each day by water taxi.
Abel Tasman National Park has some of the best weather in New Zealand, with long sunny days. In summer the temperature averages 25C, and in winter 15C, making it ideal for hiking year round.
