Booking Terms & Conditions

Role of Go New Zealand: Go New Zealand acts as an intermediary, showcasing products on our website offered by various suppliers. We neither own nor directly provide these products. Our role is merely to facilitate bookings for these products, and we are not responsible for any lapses or errors associated with individual products or their respective suppliers.

Reservations: Clients can initiate bookings by filling out the designated reservation form. The acceptance or denial of booking requests is at the discretion of Go New Zealand and the product suppliers. Upon a booking's approval, which may necessitate a deposit, a confirmation will be dispatched. Clients are advised to verify the confirmation details, ensuring they align with their specific needs.

Supplier’s Terms: Each reservation is governed by the terms and conditions stipulated by the product supplier or operatorNote that terms and conditions vary depending on the supplier, operator or product and may undergo changes without any prior notification. By completing a booking, clients affirm thathey've comprehended and accepted the relevant terms.

The absence of a link or reference to third-party terms and conditions does not imply that our terms and conditions override them. It is not feasible to list the terms and conditions of all our providers, but upon request, we can provide their individual terms and conditions to you or address a specific question. During the reservation process, we will strive to share any information we believe you should know. However, the final responsibility lies with you to ensure satisfaction with these terms. For self-drive packages and escorted coach tours, the terms of the individual tour operators take precedence, and it is advised to confirm them with our team at the time of booking.

Product Listings: Go New Zealand offers an array of products and suppliers on its platform without endorsing any product, supplier or operator. Although we strive to maintain accuracy on our website, we do not guarantee the absolute correctness of product listings. Such listings can be modified without prior notice.

Product Purchases: Clients must adhere to local regulations when acquiring products. They must also ascertain their eligibility to possess or use the said products.

Our RightsThe information we provide is done with the understanding that some of it may originate from third parties and should therefore only be used as a guideline. Go New Zealand works with third-party suppliers and providers for all services and products, acting solely as an agent for these suppliers. Any claims or liabilities arising from the use of these services or products rest solely with the supplier or provider.

Go New Zealand, along with its employees, independent contractors, suppliers, or anyone acting on its behalf, accepts no responsibility for any damage or loss to property or persons, regardless of how it occurs.

PRICING & PAYMENTS

Payments for tours or services are predominately made direct to the operator concerned, who have their own payment terms and conditions. This especially relates to most day tours, as well as a few multiiday activities.

For self-drive tours, coach tours, most multi-day activities, as well as some day tours the pricing, credit card and bank fee charges mentioned below apply.

Pricing Display: Prices displayed are predominantly in New Zealand dollars, except for some multi-day coach tours that are in Australian dollars. All pricing is subject to confirmation by the supplier, or tour operator at the time of booking.

Payment Modes: We accept credit card payments and bank transfers in either AUD or NZD. Be aware that specific transactions may attract additional fees, and personal cheques are not accepted.

Full Payment: Full payment is typically necessary at the time of booking for most day tours, attractions, and activities.

For self-drive packages and escorted multi-day coach tours, a deposit is needed at the time of booking, with the remaining balance generally due 75 days prior to travel. All fees and charges for products are due by the date outlined on the booking confirmation, which will be informed at the time of booking. If any due amounts are not paid by the specified date, the relevant booking(s) may be cancelled. In this event, any deposit you have made may be kept by us, and you will be responsible for any applicable cancellation fees.

AMENDMENTS, CANCELLATIONS, & REFUNDS

Booking Alterations: Adjustments or terminations of bookings are subject to Go New Zealand's discretion and the associated suppliers' terms. It’s essential for clients to acquaint themselves with the cancellation and refund protocols of suppliers prior to making bookings.

You have the option to alter your tour dates or make changes to your itinearry at any time, depending on the availability of specific components. Be aware that any third-party expenses, such as hotel amendment fees or cancellation charges, will be your responsibility. An amendment fee might be applied, in addition to any cancellation fees charged by third-party suppliers. It's also important to note that changing arrangements to different dates may result in extra charges owing to seasonal variations.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation periods and associated fees are subject to the tour operator or suppliers terms and conditions. These are available when making a booking, or can be provided to you by Go New Zealand on request.

Self-drive holiday packages:

Additional fees may be payable depending on the terms of individual tour operators or suppliers booked. The following minimum charges apply:

  • 61 days or more before the tour commences results in the loss of the deposit amount or 25% of the total tour cost, whichever is the greater amount.

  • 60 to 21 days before incurs a fee of 55% of the total reservation value.

  • 20 to 8 days before incurs a 70% fee.

  • 7 days or less results in a 100% cancellation fee.

Other Multiday and Day Tour Cancellations:

All cancellation deadlines must be communicated to the tour operator or provider. Last minute cancellations should always be made direct to the tour operator to avoid any potential loss of your deposit or a reduced refund.

Date amendments to tours are feasible based on availability, but might incur third-party costs, which will be passed on to the clients.

Unforeseen Circumstances (Force Majeure): Go New Zealand cannot be held responsible if a client's holiday in New Zealand is unexpectedly canceled, shortened, or altered in any way due to extraordinary circumstances beyond our control, even with all reasonable measures taken, under Force Majeure. REFUNDS

Please note, all refunds are subject to the cancellation policies of the tour operator or provider. In the event of urgent cancellations or amendments, customers are responsible for notifying the tour operator or provider within the specified deadline. Go New Zealand is not liable for last-minute cancellations that do not meet these deadlines.

All other cancellations or amendments that are not urgent must be communicated to Go New Zealand. Confirmation will be provided to the client within 24 hours, from Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

  1. Go New Zealand does not have the authority to approve any refunds on behalf of the tour operator or supplier. Refunds, including those for unused products or vouchers, are subject to the relevant tour operator or supplier’s terms and conditions. Various products may have different terms and conditions related to refunds. Some products may not be eligible for a refund at all.
  2. All ski-related products are not eligible for a refund. Ski conditions, being acts of nature, are entirely out of our control. Go New Zealand strongly advises clients to verify weather conditions before leaving for any ski or snow-dependent vacation, as these conditions can shift rapidly. Go New Zealand holds no accountability for delayed beginnings or premature conclusions to the ski season.
  3. Prepaid hotel bookings are non-refundable and cannot be altered, unless approved by the supplier or accommodation provider.

INSURANCE

Clients are strongly encouraged to obtain comprehensive travel insurance coverage. We advise all clients to consult local and professional sources for advice on their specific insurance needs when making a reservation. Numerous insurance providers offer cancellation or interruption coverage. This coverage could provide compensation for fees and costs in cases where flights are delayed or canceled, or adjustments to holiday plans are necessary due to illness or unexpected events. Ensuring sufficient insurance coverage is the responsibility of the client. Any losses incurred due to insufficient coverage will not be Go New Zealand’s responsibility.

DOCUMENTATION

Travel documents will be emailed. Clients must ensure these documents are consistent with official records, like passports.

PASSPORT & VISA OBLIGATIONS

It is the responsibility of all travellers to make sure they possess the necessary travel documents, including passports, visas and health certifications. For more on visa obligations, clients can refer to the official New Zealand immigration website. https://www.immigration.govt.nz/

Go New Zealand bears no responsibility for travellers denied entry onto a flight or into any country due to their failure to possess the required travel documents by any airline, authority, or country, including countries the traveller might be transiting through to reach their destination.

FLIGHTS & AIRFARES

International and domestic airfares are not included in the price of any of our tours unless explicitly mentioned. For clients booking a fixed-date coach tour, we advise reserving flights only after a seat on the coach has been secured and confirmed.

If airfares are included in your package, they are subject to special fare conditions. Penalties may apply for any cancellations or changes.

BAGGAGE

All luggage and personal belongings are at your risk at all times. Passengers are responsible for any excess charges incurred.
