For those looking to explore everything that New Zealand offers, there is a myriad of New Zealand Transport options available to the visitor. As well as having the freedom of hiring a Car Rental, Motorhome or Campervan hire; you can also book the national coach network, the Kiwi Rail trips, Interisland ferry services between Wellington and Picton, and private or shared transfers and shuttles.
Coach services including bus transport to all major places of interest from Auckland, Wellington and Rotorua in the North Island; to Christchurch, Queenstown, Dunedin and Nelson in the South Island of New Zealand.
Major rail journeys are the iconic Tranz Alpine Journey, regarded as one of the most scenic train journeys in the world, which runs between Christchurch and Greymouth through Arthurs Pass and the Southern Alps in the South Island. This train trip links with the coastal Pacific Train Journey between Christchurch and Picton, following the scenic coastal route through Kaikoura, famous for whale watching, and Blenheim at the centre of the Marlborough Wine Growing Region. Then in the North Island, you can travel on the Northern Explorer between Auckland and Wellington.
Connecting both islands is the Interislander Ferry that runs between Picton and Wellington, through the magnificent Marlborough Sounds.
