With your New Zealand Rail Bus Scenic Pass, you can travel on New Zealand's three long distance passenger trains: The Northern Explorer servicing Auckland-Wellington; the Coastal Pacific operating between Picton and Christchurch; and the Tranz Alpine connecting Christchurch and Greymouth.

The New Zealand Rail Bus Scenic Pass will also connect you with Interislander ferry services from Wellington to Picton, and bring you from Paihia in the North Island to Invercargill in the South Island, and any stop in between, including the magical Waitomo Caves and the majestic Mt. Cook, via scenic bus and coach services. With this pass, you can join selected sightseeing tours in Paihia in the beautiful Bay of Islands, Auckland, Waitomo Caves and Rotorua, and board the return coach traveling between Milford Sound and Queenstown.

Meals, accommodation, entrance fees and the Milford Sound boat cruise are not included in the Rail Bus Scenic Pass.

Your New Zealand Rail Bus Scenic Pass is valid for travel between September 23, 2016 to April 30, 2017

Each traveller should have his or her own New Zealand Rail Bus Scenic pass. Contact our New Zealand team for reservations to secure your seat on the train, ferry and bus. Reservations should be sent 24 hours before your date of travel, and are subject to availability.
