Take a cruise out to the Cape Brett Lighthouse and through the world famous 'Hole in the Rock'. Gently weave through the inner islands before stopping at Otehei Bay where you can enjoy a swim or relaxing stroll.  You can then enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure and explore your surroundings.

Leave Paihia early in the morning and make your way south to the famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves.  Here you will have the pleasure of enjoying a close up view of some amazing ancient limestone formations and caverns as well as the twinkling lights of the glowworms.

Begin your day by driving through the Waikato farmlands towards Hobbiton. Here you will be taking on a guided tour of one of the most famous movie sets in history. Learn more about just how the movie was created and learn some fascinating secrets. After your tour, it's on to Rotorua for an authentic and entertaining Maori cultural experience.

On this day you will be able to enjoy all the sights and fun of Rotorua. Visit the Agrodome, enjoy a scenic ride on the Skyline Gondola, see the lions that call Paradise Valley Springs home, encounter the fascinating geothermal activity at Te Puia, and complete your day out by relaxing at the local Polynesian Spa.

Make your way to Taupo and enjoy viewing listening to the power of the water rolling at Huka Falls. Drive on to Napier, the Art Deco capital of New Zealand, and take some time to appreciate the superb architecture that makes this city so special.

Continue through the Wairarapa wine region as you head for Wellington – New Zealand's fine capital. Here you can take your pick from some of the best cafes, restaurants, bars, arts and shopping in the country.

Hop on board the Interislander Ferry that will take you across to Picton. When you arrive, you will then enjoy a truly spectacular coastal drive. On one side you can stare out over the Pacific Ocean while, on the other side, the majestic Kaikoura Mountains pierce the skies above. We recommend that you make the most of the amazing year round opportunities to do some dolphin and whale watching.

Continue driving south to the city of Christchurch.  On the way, you can stop at the Waipara wine region before spending the rest of your day exploring the 'Garden City' at your leisure.

Take your time exploring the city of Christchurch. After the earthquakes that struck in 2010 and 2011, the city has come out on top as vibrant and ever changing.

Explore the city on a historic train or sign up for a fun ride on the Avon River. Another popular option is to take a brief day trip to Akaroa. This nearby historic French and British settlement is located in the very heart of an ancient volcano. Take your time exploring the village and all its fabulous colonial architecture, craft shops, galleries and cafes.

Travel over Arthur's Pass, the highest of the three Southern Alps passes. If you have enough time to explore, make your way north to Punakaiki and visit the fabulous Pancake Rocks and blowholes.

Travel over Haast Pass and stop at the tranquil Lake Wanaka for lunch. Continue over the Crown Range until you reach the alpine resort of Queenstown.

Kick start your day with the famously thrilling jet boating trip on the Shotover River.  The rest of the afternoon is completely up to you and you can explore this fun loving town at your own pace.  We recommend that you take a ride on the Skyline Gondola and enjoy the amazing views of the area.

Drive along the southern shores of the beautiful Lake Wakatipu and travel across the rural farmlands that lead to Te Anau. While you're there, why not make the most of it by enjoying a scenic cruise across the lake and discover the underground wonders of the glowworm caves?

Travel along the Milford Road and venture through the Homer Tunnel before hopping on board for a nature cruise around Milford Sound. Prepare to be amazed by the world famous natural wonder as you cruise past waterfalls and rock walls.  Return to Te Anau where you will spend the evening.
