Walk the Abel Tasman Coastline in Comfort

This 5‑day guided walk gives you time to fully enjoy the beauty of Abel Tasman National Park, from its golden beaches and native bush to quiet inlets and island views. With flexible options each day, you can walk, kayak, or simply relax depending on how you’re feeling. The trip starts with a scenic cruise to Tōtaranui before walking south along the coast to the exclusive Meadowbank Homestead at Awaroa.

Each lodge stay is for two nights, giving you time to settle in, explore hidden corners of the park and enjoy delicious meals in stunning surrounds. Day walks include iconic sections of the coastal track like Bark Bay, Tonga Quarry and Falls River, with comfortable boat support available if you’d prefer to shorten the distance. This experience is all about choice, natural beauty, and relaxed luxury.

Two Exclusive Lodges, Five Unforgettable Days

Meadowbank Homestead, located at the Awaroa Inlet, is your first lodge stay and a true retreat with heritage charm and modern comfort. Day 2 is yours to explore Awaroa by foot or kayak, or to simply sit back and soak up the tranquil estuary views from the lodge’s garden. You’ll enjoy warm hospitality, ensuite rooms, and fresh meals made with local produce.

Next, you'll walk to Torrent Bay Lodge where you'll spend nights three and four nestled in a private coastal village. Optional adventures include forest walks to waterfalls, kayaking to Cleopatra’s Pool, or beach time at Anchorage and Pitt Head. The trip finishes with a scenic final day walking to Mārahau, where you’ll say goodbye to the trail with a head full of stories and a camera roll of unforgettable moments.
