Start this epic adventure road trip in one of New Zealand's most vibrant cities, Christchurch. The city is full of an incredible energy and has a booming arts scene. Walk around and have fun exploring New Zealand’s ‘Garden City’. 

Pick up your campervan and make your way to Hanmer Springs. This little town almost feels like New Zealand's version of Aspen. Hanmer Springs has a great mix of adventure activities to get your heart racing, follow this up with a soak in the famous hot springs and treat yourself in plenty of amazing cafes and restaurants. Enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Waiau River on an exhilarating Jetboat ride.

Bungy…. On your second day in Hanmer Springs you’ll experience the thrill of a bungy jump. Invented in New Zealand this heart racing activity is a must. Following that you’ll get to relax in the hot springs for a second day.

Drive one of New Zealand’s most stunning roads, the Lewis Pass. This drive takes you through ever-changing volcanic landscapes, with a stop at Rotoroa Lakes to have lunch along the way. You’ll arrive in the incredible Abel Tasman National Park for sunset and some fish and chips on the beach.

Embark on your guided kayak adventure from Marahau to Observation Beach. You will catch glimpses of the coastal track and experience up close the magic of the Astrolabe Islands. After landing at Observation Beach, enjoy a great lunch lovingly made at the container cafe before swapping your paddle for walking shoes.

Discover clear streams, native bush and incredible views over Anchorage and the Astrolabe on your afternoon walk.

Drive along the East Coast as you head back towards Kaikoura. Take a detour through the little harbour town of Picton for a look around. You’ll arrive in Kaikoura for sunset so grab some local fish and chips and drinks and enjoy one of New Zealand’s most loved restaurants on the beach!

Swimming with dolphins in Kaikoura is a truly spectacular experience. Start your day in the water making new friends, before a change of pace. You’ll go whale watching from the skies and hopefully encounter one of a variety of whale species that call Kaikoura home.

Start your day experiencing the excitement of watching Fur Seals ducking, weaving and diving around your kayak. Paddle gently along with them as they swim around the Kaikoura Peninsula hunting for their favourite feed of Octopus. Grab some lunch before making the trip back to Christchurch where you can drop the campervan off.
