Along the way, take in the views of Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu from Wakitipu Lookout. Visit Buzzstop Bee and Honey Centre, a fully working manuka honey farm and cafe in a converted shearing shed. Learn about beekeeping, and the fascinating interactions between the queen bee and drones in the bee colony. See the Mirror Lake (Lake Hayes), one of New Zealand's most photogenic lakes. Arriving in Arrowtown, we drive past the Chinese Village, the old Goal and the lookout, while we provide commentary and point out where you can take the best photos. All of these are included in your tour. Explore the Main Street as everything is within walking distance, with time to browse the boutique shops, and have a bite to eat in one of the many cafes.
After leaving Arrowtown, stop at Kawerau Gorge, home of the original bungy jump from Kawerau Bridge, as well as a favourite Lord of the Rings site from the movies. The 43 metre adrenalin inducing, heart pumping jump is popular with thrill seekers. Returning to Queenstown, taking the scenic route past the Shotover River, which was once the world’s most abundant gold-bearing river in the 1860’s. Enjoy the scenery on a drive past this historic river now world-famous for the Shotover Jet. After the tour, return to Queenstown and share your photos with your friends around the world.
