Overview

Pedal around the port on your Cape Coast Wineries Self Guided Coastal Cycle trip as you leave the port village of Ahuriri in Napier on your way to the Napier CBD, celebrated for its Art Deco architecture. Admire the distinctive facades of Napier’s buildings before moving on south following Marine Parade, which looks out to stunning coastal views and Cape Kidnappers from across the sea.

Take a break for some refreshments on arrival at the village of Clive after pedalling for about 15km. Carry on riding the trail that passes the East Clive wetlands where numerous black swans take refuge, finally arriving at the mouth of the Tuki Tuki River and Black Bridge. Pedal through the seaside villages of Te Awanga and Haumoana where you may choose to break for lunch at one of the celebrated winery restaurants of Clearview Estate or Elephant Hill.

You will be picked up for return transfer to Ahuriri at Clifton, near the base of Cape Kidnappers, where the trail ends.

At Clifton, close to the base of Cape Kidnappers, the trail ends. This is where you will be picked up for your transport back to Ahuriri.
