Highlights

Full day Waipara Valley wine tour including lunch

The South Island of New Zealand has some of the southernmost vineyards in the world, with climatic conditions producing wines that are distinctive and unique. The Waipara Valley in north Canterbury, is Canterbury's premier wine-growing region, and is about 50 minutes' drive north of Christchurch. Waipara is one of the fastest growing wine producing regions in New Zealand, currently boasting over 80 vineyards and wineries. The region is an ideal cool-climate grape growing area, with Pinot Noir, Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc dominating local plantings. Recent investment in the region by some of New Zealand's larger wine producers, mean that Waipara is set to become a major player in the New Zealand wine industry.
