Wellington Full-Day City Bike Hire gives you up to nine hours to explore the capital and surrounding bays independently on a non-electric bike. Choose a standard or step-through city bike and follow suggested cycling routes from the Wellington Waterfront towards Miramar Peninsula, Scorching Bay, Seatoun and the South Coast, with a helmet, lock and cycling map included.

Explore Wellington at Your Own Pace

A full day gives you enough time to use your bike for both sightseeing and exploring Wellington's coastline. Follow the waterfront and bays, stop for lunch or coffee along the way, or use your bike to reach attractions such as Te Papa, Wētā Workshop, Cuba Street and Zealandia. Before setting off, you'll receive a bike briefing, riding instructions and local route recommendations, with space to practise away from traffic.

  • If your ship, plane, or bus is delayed and you notify us before departure, you'll be refunded in full.**

Please note: Our bike rentals and tours typically carry on even in the rain, but you don't have to ride if you contact us before your departure time. If we think the wind is too strong for safe riding, we might change the route to make it more enjoyable.

Note: **Any refund approved under our terms and conditions will be subject to a 5% admin & processing fee, which will be deducted from the refund amount.
