Discover paradise on this one day Coromandel Wanderer Small Group Tour leaving Auckland for a relaxing getaway to a place where time seems to stand still. Marvellous beaches, iconic coves, verdant forests and captivating views greet you as you arrive in this part of New Zealand.
On this tour, our comfortable 12-seater mini-bus will pick you up from your hotel for a scenic drive to the stunning Coromandel Peninsula through the New Zealand countryside. Cathedral Cove will be our first stop, a fitting introduction to and a must-do activity for visitors as it’s a renowned attraction and one of the most stunning beaches in New Zealand. Not surprisingly, it made a major appearance in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. A walk through the bush or a ride on the water taxi takes us there as there are no roads to the beach. Once we arrive, you’ll see that the views alone make the journey worth it. Even better, you’ll have time to swim, sunbathe, play sport or simply relax.
For lunch, we’ll take you to a fantastic local restaurant offering wonderful local food and beer if you so desire. (Food is extra and not included in the price.)
The popular Hot Water Beach is our next stop. Here you can make your own naturally heated geothermal water bath by digging a hole in the sand. A better way to make your natural geothermal spa is to dig your hole at the edge of the beach so the ocean waves roll in and cool you off every now and then.
Finally it’s time to bid farewell to the Hot Water Beach and start our return trip to Auckland, stopping along the way for a quick ice cream and a few more fantastic photos.
