Whether you're out for one, two, or three hours, you'll have time to reach scenic highlights like Ruby Island, Eely Point, and Waterfall Creek. Our tandem New Zealand-made kayaks are designed for comfort and easy handling.

This self-guided option is perfect for all skill levels, offering flexibility and freedom without a guide. For longer hires, make sure to bring a buddy—paddling’s more fun with two! Look out for our trailer and van set-up on the beach near Ardmore and Dungarvon Streets to kick off your lakeside adventure.

MORE INFORMATION:

  • Paddle Wanaka will supply life jackets but you may get splashed!
  • Minimum Age Requirement: 6 years old and up
  • Age 6 - 17 needs parents written approval

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Clothing that can get wet
  • Weather-appropriate clothing and accessories (sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, raincoat, fleece)
  • Water bottle and snacks
  • Cell phone for emergency contact (especially for trips lasting 2 hours or more)

CANCELLATION FEES:

  • 24 hours or more before travel: Full refund**
  • Less than 24 hours: 100%
