Overview
Enjoy the most peaceful and tranquil getaway as this amazing Doubtful Sound overnight cruise.
Your great escape begins in Manapouri with a brief cruise across the beautiful Lake Manapouri itself. Your coach awaits to take you along a sub-alpine road, through a lush green rainforest and across Wilmot Pass until you reach Deep Cove. Here the Fiordland Navigator and crew await your arrival for the next part of your unforgettable journey.
The design of the Fiordland Navigator was inspired by that of a traditional scow. On board, you will enjoy a perfect blend of the charming old design and the modern luxuries like roomy viewing decks, an observation lounge and a dining saloon with fully licensed bar to satisfy all your needs and preferences.
As you enjoy the impeccable scenery that surrounds you on the fiord cruise, you will be provided with plenty of fascinating information by our trained and well-informed nature guides. Keep your eyes open for wildlife such as fur seals, the local pod of dolphins and rare penguins that you may come across.
A sheltered cove offers the perfect spot to drop anchor. Once here, you can decide between kayaking your way along the scenic shoreline, tendering a boat ashore or you are welcome to relax onboard and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. For those who are feeling a bit more bold, you might be interested in going for a swim!
A scrumptious three course buffet dinner is prepared for you this evening by our on board chef. Enjoy your meal in the dining saloon and take the time to get to know some of your fellow travellers, delight in the delicious wines from our licensed bar and, provided we have clear skies, you can even do some relaxing star gazing from the upper deck.
The following day is off to the perfect start with a mouth-watering cooked breakfast. The rest of the morning you will have time to enjoy other areas of the fiord before you return to Deep Cove and then back to Manapouri.
