Overview

Let a winemaker guide you through the wine production process, and tease your palate and quench your curiosity on how grapes journey from vineyards to bottle on a Full Day Marlborough Winemaker's Tour in New Zealand. Exclusive only to Hop ‘n Grape tours, we take you beyond the cellar doors for an up close wine tasting experience, sampling the finest wines right out of the barrel.

Take dazzling behind-the-scene winery photos and ask all those tricky questions best answered by wine experts to amaze all your friends with your newfound NZ wine know-how. We start off the day with a peek into the workings of a modern-day winery where you get to sample straight-from-the-press grape juice, young Pinot Noir, and newly filtered Sauvignon Blanc.

Moving forward, get to know the Marlborough wine region a bit more and sample any treat that isn’t tied down. On this full day Marlborough Winemaker's tour, we stop at 4 to 6 wineries out of the more than 40 cellar doors operating in the region, with an option to visit local breweries. Let us know if there are any wineries you wish to see, and we’ll endeavour to take you there. Enjoy lunch at a restaurant in a vineyard – a real highlight of the tour. You also get the chance to stop for an olive oil or cheese tasting, and even sample treats at Makana Chocolate Shop.
