The Wineries Ride

Starting at the Pakowhai Country Park, you will ride through scenic apple orchard country for about 10kms until you reach the settlement of Fernhill. You will spend your afternoon g in the Gimblett Gravels Appellation. Ejoy the ambiance of the acclaimed wineries in the area before you are transferred back.

Wineries with Cellar Doors that offer tastings include Unison, Te Awa, Trinity Hill, Oak Estate, Ngatarawa, Abbey Cellars, and Alpha Domu.

Please Note:  Most wineries charge for tastings which are payable direct. Opening hours at wineries vary and some wineries are closed over winter months. Please check at the time of booking the number of wineries you should expect to find open. Takaro Trails endeavours to let you know of closures of wineries due to private functions, but cannot be held responsible for closures we were not previously advised.
