The Tongariro Alpine Crossing is a challenging alpine day walk through the volcanic landscape of Tongariro National Park. The route passes distinctive volcanic terrain and mountain scenery, making it one of New Zealand’s well-known day walks.

This shuttle is intended for freedom walkers completing the track independently. There is no walking guide included, so you’ll need to prepare for a full day outdoors, carry suitable clothing, food and water, and check current track conditions before setting out. Alpine weather can change quickly, even when conditions appear settled at lower elevations.
