Overview
Our Horse Riding Holiday is perfect for all those busy people out there who would like to escape their usual busy lives for a couple of days or more. While enjoying the beauty of Rangitikei, you will learn all the basic skills of Natural Horse Training. All riding, instruction, deluxe accommodation and meals are included. This trip is not suitable for beginner riders.
In our many years operating a professional Trekking business, we have noticed a clear thirst for more on the rider's part. The more they are able to ride and learn, the better!
In most cases, riders seek to gain experience and knowledge in terms of horsemanship. By working with their horse in the right way, both rider and horse will have a far more enjoyable trip out.
With a Home on the Range horse trekking getaway, you will have time to get to know your horse, build a bond with it, and allow your confidence and riding pleasure increase as you explore your scenic surroundings and take on more challenging rides.

The combination of deluxe guest room accommodation at River Valley Lodge, delicious meals and wines, and plenty of time to explore the countryside, makes this trip the ideal getaway for everyone.

Itinerary
Open AllYou will begin your riding experience by enjoying just a few hours in the saddle on your first morning. This will give the guide the perfect opportunity to establish your riding skill level and will hereafter decide which horse suits you best for the remainder of your holiday. In the afternoon, you will learn about Natural Horsemanship techniques and how to use them.
On the second day, it's time to put all that knowledge to the test. As you take your first trip out and explore, you can test those Natural Horse Training skills while enjoying the lovely hilly scenery of the northern Rangitikei District. At approximately 3pm your riding will conclude and you will have time to return home if you are only spending two days here.
If you are planning on spending more than the minimum of two days, each day that follows will include a mixture of developing your skills in the arena, out rides through the hill country and relaxing in between, while not riding or spending time with your surefooted friend.
