Huka Falls Jet Boat Ride in Taupo

• 30-minute high-speed jet boat ride
• Life jacket provided and required for all riders

After checking in, you’ll be fitted with a life jacket before boarding one of the state-of-the-art jet boats. Once underway, the pace quickly builds as the boat accelerates through narrow channels and open river stretches. Tight turns, rapid direction changes and the iconic spin create a heart-pumping ride from start to finish.

Drivers share their skill and local knowledge through confident handling rather than commentary. The experience is fast, loud and exhilarating, with moments to appreciate the scenery between bursts of speed. You can expect to get a little wet, especially when playing near the white water below the falls.

On the Day

• Check in no later than 15 minutes before your scheduled departure
• Life jackets are provided and must be worn at all times
• This activity is weather dependent; full refunds are provided if trips are cancelled

What to Bring

• Secure, hands-free cameras are welcome (body-mounted only)
• Non-hands-free cameras must be stowed while the boat is moving
• A rain jacket is recommended as you may get splashed
• In winter, bring warm layers, a hat and gloves
• In summer, sunglasses and sunblock are recommended

Restrictions

• Children must be at least 1 metre tall to ride
• Pregnant guests are not permitted to ride
• Guests with back, neck or medical conditions should advise at booking
• You must be able to fit into a provided life jacket
• Bags are not permitted on the boat for safety reasons

• Cancellations more than 24 hours before departure: Full refund**.
• Within 24 hours / no show: No refund
