Our office is right at the heart of the Kaikoura town and we have complimentary transport to take you to the helipads for a brief safety orientation by our New ealand pilots and information regarding the Kaikoura Whale Sanctuary and other wildlife you will likely see during the tour. Following the safety orientation, set off for a 40 minute Kaikoura Whale Watch Helicopter Ocean Safari Flight to discover the best our town has to offer! Search for sperm whales as you circle the waters from above in a way only helicopters can. Depending on the time of the year, southern right whales, humpback whales, blue whales and killer whales travel through Kaikoura’s coast as it’s right on the migratory route of these denizens of the deep. You will also get to admire the rugged beauty of the Seaward Kaikoura Mountain Ranges, the Kaikoura Peninsula, and the Pacific Ocean in its immensity.
After spotting the whales successfully, fly along the coastline to scan the waters for other wildlife that inhabit these areas such as the dusky dolphins and the New Zealand fur seals, while surrounded by the magnificent mountains and sea wherever you look. Your experience concludes with a landing at the helipads, our complimentary transport waiting for you to transfer you into town or back to your hotel.
