We come by at 9.30AM and collect you from your preferred Wellington location and drive north on your Private Kapiti Coast Full Day Tour, taking a break at Pukerua Bay to take in the amazing views of the New Zealand coastline and the Kapiti Island. We take the alternate route through Raumati, sticking to the coast to get to Paraparaumu Beach where we take a short rest.
After dropping in at the world-renowned Southwards Car Museum, we sit down for lunch at Long Beach Café in Waikanae (price included). Following lunch, we visit Nga Manu Reserve to take advantage of a one-of-a-kind opportunity to enjoy a hands-on experience with nature. View New Zealand’s unique brown kiwi in our nocturnal shelter and get a closer look at native birds in our walk-through aviaries. Join in, or simply watch, the feeding of endangered long-fin eels, spy native geckos, and come face to face with the ancient Tuatara.
We travel further north for some shopping in the laidback township of Otaki or sightseeing around a restored Maori church. We drive back to Wellington, stopping at Paraparaumu for a visit to either the Chocolate factory or Tuatara Beer factory. It’s all up to you. We return you to Wellington at 4.30PM.
