Milford Sound, Alpine Lakes and Three Wilderness Landings

Remote alpine lakes, waterfalls, native forest and glacier-carved valleys shape this two-hour helicopter experience from Glenorchy. The flight travels across Fiordland towards Lake Erskine, Lake Quill and Sutherland Falls before following the Milford Track and continuing over Piopiotahi Milford Sound.

Three landings provide time in contrasting wilderness settings, including an alpine location, a remote lake and Earnslaw Burn. At Earnslaw Burn, sheer cliffs, waterfalls and a hanging glacier surround the landing area, while the exact route and landing sites are selected according to weather and the pilot’s assessment.
