On the Milford Sound Coach, Cruise & Walk from Te Anau in New Zealand, drive the magnificent Milford Road with local, experienced drivers/nature guides keen on sharing their stories, knowledge and passion for the area, breathing life to Fiordland National Park myths and legends.
Arriving at Milford Sound, climb aboard an extended nature style Milford Sound Boat Cruise out to Tasman Sea. Along the way, marvel at the rainforest, mountains, waterfalls and wildlife.
Once you’ve completed the cruise, get on board the coach and head back to Te Anau via overland travel. If you are keen on taking shorter walks, stay with the nature guide and join a series of walks in a range of varying environments.
We have a wide range of National Park concession and smaller vehicles to take you to Lake Gunn, Gertrude Valley, Marian Gantry, the Humboldt Falls, and the historic Hollyford Museum on top of the usual stops.
We want our clients to experience the best of the World Heritage Area’s wilderness and wildlife, so we plan the day according to the weather and seasonal highlights. We add a special touch of wilderness tea-break and serve our clients complimentary home style biscuits washed down with well-earned cuppa.
An option for those keen on taking longer hikes is to set out on a 2.5 hour unguided walk to Key Summit along the Routeburn Track through lush beech rainforest. Coming out of the tree line, an alpine area greets you with huge open views of deep valleys cloaked in native bush, alpine lakes, and the surrounding Fiordland mountains. The hikers then re-join the rest of the group before making the return trip to Te Anau.
