Leave Picton at 9am and weave your way through the Queen Charlotte Sound while listening to your skipper narrate about the geology and history of the area and its residents, both people and wildlife. Enjoy 30 minutes ashore at Ship Cove, a historical area where Captain Cook anchored on five separate occasions in the 1770s, before disembarking at Punga Cove Resort.
Punga Cove is the perfect place for a leisurely lunch. Set amidst idyllic surroundings, the resort boasts of a lunch venue, The Boat Shed Bar, that looks out across the Endeavour Inlet. You can simply soak up the views and just kick back while watching boats and day walkers come and go, or get active with the resort’s kayaks, spa and swimming pool. (Use of facilities, along with food and beverages consumed at the resort, are not included in your cruise cost but paid directly to Punga Cove Resort.)
Join the Mail Boat upon your return, and make your way back to Picton, arriving between 5:30pm and 6pm.
