Discover Rotorua’s celebrated and unique geothermal wonders, including the surreal Wai-O-Tapu geothermal park, on this one day Rotorua Small Group Tour including Wai-O-Tapu leaving Auckland, New Zealand.

Our comfortable 12-seater mini-bus will collect you from your hotel and take on a fully guided journey to Rotorua through the scenic Waikato countryside, the most extensively farmed area in the world. Magnificent scenery unfolds on your journey south, with spectacular mountains and an assortment of farm animals along the way providing fantastic photo opportunities. We also pass through the quirky town of Tirau, billed as the world capital of corrugated iron sculpture, and the beautiful Fitzgerald Glade.

Arriving in Rotorua, we will show you around many of its fascinating and historical sites like The Government Gardens, Lake Rotorua, Thermal Springs, Blue Bath and the Polynesian Spa. We then head out to the streets for lunch.

Following lunch, we continue on to an otherworldly destination, the Wai-O-Tapu Geothermal Wonderland. Survey the park for its incredible geothermal features, local mud pools, geothermal craters and aptly named attractions such as the Devil’s bath and Champagne Lake.

Before heading home, our guides will take you to town to enjoy some discounted souvenir shopping. You will then be driven to Auckland on a fully guided journey back north, or dropped off in Rotorua if you wish to linger in town.
