Routeburn Track Guided Walk from Te Anau

Journey on a vehicle to Fiordland’s mountain divide with a small group. Starting at the Divide Shelter, your Routeburn Track Guided Walk from Te Anau (8km return) gradually climbs up on a well-formed track through verdant, temperate rain forest. Two hours of relaxed, steady climbing takes you out of the forest and into an alpine environment with an elevation of 400m and wide open views of alpine lakes, towering snow-capped peaks, and deep, densely forested valleys. In fine weather, lunch may be enjoyed on the summit amidst the alpine tarns; otherwise, under cover in a tramping hut close by. Following lunch, retrace your steps back to the Divide Shelter before travelling back to Te Anau.
