Abel Tasman Afternoon Sail & Cruise

This Afternoon Sail & Cruise combines a 30-minute water taxi from Kaiteriteri to Anchorage with a three-hour afternoon sail back. Meet at the Abel Tasman Ticket Booth 30 minutes before your chosen water taxi, with departures from 9:00am–12:40pm. Sail from Anchorage at 1:30pm, returning at 4:30pm. Operating on the summer timetable, it includes water taxi transport, skippered sailing, a fur seal colony visit, tea and coffee, and suits families, couples and relaxed sightseers.

Cruise to Anchorage, Then Sail the Coast Home

Begin your day at Kaiteriteri with a 30-minute water-taxi ride into Abel Tasman National Park. With several morning departure options, you can choose how much time you would like at Anchorage before the afternoon sail. Relax on the golden beach, swim in the sheltered bay, enjoy a picnic or explore one of the nearby walking tracks before meeting your sailing catamaran.

At 1:30pm, the pace changes as you leave Anchorage under sail for the journey back down the coast. Spend around 2.5 hours taking in golden coves, forested headlands and hidden inlets from the water, with Split Apple Rock providing a distinctive final highlight before arriving back at Kaiteriteri around 4:30pm. Complimentary tea and coffee are available on board while you settle in and enjoy the afternoon at sea.
