Waiheke Sip Happens Wine & Beer Tour

The Sip Happens tour on Waiheke Island offers a relaxed and social way to enjoy the island’s wine scene, with a twist for beer lovers. Designed for those who enjoy variety, the experience includes wine tastings at local vineyards with the option to substitute one stop for a beer flight. Small group touring keeps the pace easy and the atmosphere friendly.

Along the way, local guides share island stories and point out scenic spots that add to the experience. With a mix of tastings, free time for lunch and comfortable transport, the tour balances structure with flexibility. It’s a great choice for travellers wanting a laid-back introduction to Waiheke’s wine and craft beer offerings.

What to Expect on the Sip Happens Waiheke Experience

This tour includes visits to three local venues, typically wineries, with the option to replace one wine tasting with a beer flight at a brewery. Guests can expect around 10 to 15 individual wine tastings across the day, depending on the venues visited. Locations vary based on availability and may include Mudbrick, Te Motu, Tantalus Estate, Stonyridge, Casita Miro, Awaroa, Wild on Waiheke and others.

Lunch time is built into the itinerary, with reservations organised at a vineyard or beachside restaurant. While lunch is not included in the tour price, guides ensure the timing and location fit smoothly into the day. Transport between venues is provided, allowing guests to enjoy tastings without worrying about logistics.
