Gold Rush Heritage, Glowworms & Giant Kauri Trees

The itinerary combines some of the peninsula's most memorable natural and historic attractions. Walk among giant kauri trees, visit a glowworm-filled historic gold cave, experience Hot Water Beach and admire dramatic coastal scenery rarely seen on standard sightseeing routes.

Along the way, your guide shares insights into Māori heritage, early European settlement, gold mining history and the unique flora and fauna that thrive throughout the Coromandel. The journey concludes in Rotorua after travelling through rolling Waikato farmland, rainforest landscapes and historic mining areas.
