How was the Hole in the Rock formed?

Wind and waves gradually eroded an opening through Motukōkako, also known as Piercy Island. The arch is a natural feature, which is why the skipper’s decision to pass through it depends on the sea on the day. The longer Cream Trip Super Cruise also travels towards Motukōkako but continues along more of the historic island route.
