This full-day Abel Tasman sailing tour departs Kaiteriteri Beach once per operating day, cruising by skippered catamaran past Split Apple Rock, golden beaches and fur seal habitat. Check-in is at 9:30am for the 10:00am departure, with one hour ashore at Anchorage Bay and return at 4:30pm. Operating October–mid-April, it includes lunch, tea and coffee, and suits couples, families and travellers wanting a relaxed scenic day on the water.

Sail the Best of Abel Tasman in One Day

Set out from Kaiteriteri aboard a spacious sailing catamaran and watch the Abel Tasman coastline unfold from the water. Cruise past Split Apple Rock and along a shoreline of golden beaches, forested headlands and sheltered bays, keeping watch for New Zealand fur seals around their coastal habitat. You can simply relax on deck and enjoy the scenery or get involved and learn more about sailing from the crew along the way.

The journey includes a full hour at Anchorage Bay, giving you time to step ashore and enjoy one of Abel Tasman National Park’s best-known beaches. Swim in the clear water, enjoy lunch or stretch your legs exploring nearby before returning to the catamaran. With 6.5 hours from departure to return, the experience combines an unhurried day under sail with time ashore in the national park.
