Itinerary
Day 1: Wanaka Arrival and Preparation
Today you’ll collect your rental car in Queenstown and make the scenic drive over the alpine Crown Range Road to Wānaka. This journey introduces you to the region’s snow‑topped peaks and prepares you for the winter adventure ahead.
Collect Rental Car Pick up your included intermediate vehicle ready for the week’s travel between Wanaka and the slopes. Having your own car means you’re free to travel on your own schedule and explore beyond the ski field.
Queenstown to Wanaka Drive Head south from Queenstown, driving over New Zealand’s highest sealed road or via the scenic Kawarau Gorge. Be sure to check weather and road conditions, and use snow chains if required for winter safety.

Day 4: Third Ski Lesson and Mountain Time
Today you’ll enjoy your final full day on the slopes with a chance to apply all the skills you’ve learned. Cardrona’s variety of gentle trails means you can practise with confidence and enjoy your time on snow.
