Glowworms, Beach Caves & Coromandel's Natural Treasures
A gentle walk follows the forgotten paths of an old settlement where traces of the region's gold mining past remain hidden among the native bush. One of the highlights is a historic gold cave now illuminated by sparkling glowworms, creating a magical setting beneath the forest canopy.
The journey continues along a spectacular stretch of coastline featuring white sand beaches, towering cliffs, offshore islands and significant Māori pā sites. Subject to tidal conditions, a visit to the famous Hot Water Beach adds another unique experience to the day.
Throughout the tour, you'll also have the chance to view fascinating natural treasures collected from around the region, including gold specimens, crystals, petrified wood and native resins.
