What to Bring

- Divers must be 12 years and over to participate.
- All children under the age of 16 years old require adult supervision at all times.
- A child's supervising adult is required to also be in the water at all times with the child. If the adult exits the water the child will also be required to do so.
Travel across Foveaux Strait for approximately one hour towards the Northern Tītī Islands. Once the vessel is anchored off Edwards Island, you'll watch the safety video, change into your dive equipment and begin Shark Watch.
If you're not a certified diver, the Dive Lead will take you through the Introduction to Underwater Diving session before you enter the cage. You'll learn the basics of the equipment, important safety information and how to breathe using the surface air supply regulator.
Up to five people enter the shark cage at a time, with the first session lasting up to 20 minutes. After everyone has completed their first cage session, you can return to the cage as often as you like during the remaining dive activities.
The experienced crew also provides commentary about the southern great white sharks and other local wildlife encountered during the trip.
