The Bluff Shark and Wildlife Sightseeing Day Tour is a full-day boat trip across Foveaux Strait to the Northern Tītī Islands. Stay aboard the vessel while the cage divers enter the water, take part in Shark Watch and look for great white sharks and other marine wildlife from the viewing areas on deck. No diving or swimming is required.

Watch for Great White Sharks Without Entering the Water

This is the sightseeing option for passengers who want to experience the Shark Experience trip without cage diving. Travel from Bluff across Foveaux Strait towards the Northern Tītī Islands and spend the day aboard the vessel alongside the shark cage divers.

Watch the water during Shark Watch and look for great white sharks and other wildlife while the crew provides commentary about the sharks and the surrounding marine environment. Shark sightings aren't guaranteed because you're watching wild animals in their natural habitat.

Check in at Bluff before departing across Foveaux Strait towards the Northern Tītī Islands. You'll remain aboard the vessel throughout the trip while travelling alongside passengers taking part in the shark cage dives.

Once at the shark location, join Shark Watch from the vessel and keep an eye out for great white sharks and other marine wildlife. The raised viewing platform and deck provide areas for watching the activity without entering the water.

A light lunch is provided during the day. Return time to Bluff varies according to conditions and shark activity, so the exact finishing time can't be guaranteed.

We welcome families who love the ocean, but there are a few things to keep in mind when travelling with young shark lovers:

  • We will restrict travel for children under 12 years old if the weather is rough (over 25 knots).
  • An adult must accompany the children at all times, as the vessel is a commercial one.
  • We stay on the vessel for the entire trip in a confined covered space.
  • 8 hours with seasickness can be dangerous for small children.
  • Infant fares are only available in December, January, and February.
  • 48 hours or more before travel: 20% cancellation fee**
  • Less than 48 hours: No Refund
