Renowned for its Pinot Noir and boutique wine culture, this compact wine region is ideal for a leisurely day of cellar-door discoveries. Visit a selection of local wineries to taste regional wines and hear insights from people who know Martinborough’s winemaking scene.
A vineyard lunch with a glass of wine is included, followed by another two or three winery visits during the afternoon. Depending on availability, your tastings could introduce you to both established estates and smaller producers, giving you a broader taste of Martinborough’s distinctive wine styles. If you’d like a change of pace, one afternoon tasting can instead be replaced with coffee and shopping in charming Greytown before the scenic return journey to Wellington.
