Can we visit Waitomo Glowworm Caves between Auckland and Rotorua?

Yes. A visit to Waitomo Caves can be added as a detour on your journey between Auckland and Rotorua. The classic Waitomo Glowworm Caves experience includes a guided cave visit and an underground boat ride beneath glowworms. Allow additional driving and touring time, and book ahead. An extra night may make the journey more comfortable, particularly if you also want to visit Hobbiton.
