Can You Visit Mount Sunday Without Joining a Tour?

Yes. The public Mount Sunday Track starts on Hakatere Potts Road, about 48 km west of Mount Somers. Allow approximately 30 minutes each way for the 1.5 km walk to the summit, plus time for photographs. Check current DOC track and access advice before travelling.
