Can you watch penguins returning to shore at Pōhatu?

The optional Pōhatu Penguin Evening Tour offers sheltered wildlife viewing and an introduction to conservation work. Late August to December generally provides the strongest opportunities. There are no March departures; confirm availability for April and other travel dates. Sightings are not guaranteed, and you should allow for the return journey to Christchurch.
